How to Choose a Third Baseman's Glove

Glove control dominates the hot corner.

Here are some tips for selecting your Rawlings third baseman's glove:

• A third baseman's glove should be a medium to large glove with a shallow to mid-size pocket that allows you to turn double plays easily and comfortably.
• If you try a mid-size Rawlings glove for third base, make sure you can handle bunts efficiently. If bunts prove troublesome, drop the mid-size and go with a smaller glove.
• An open web will let you get to the ball more quickly on bunts and scoops.

Glove with a Pro H web, such as the Pro Preferred 11.75 inch 2-Tone glove (model number PROS17HC2T) and the Heart of the Hide 11.75 inch Dual Core glove (model number PRO17HDC), make excellent third baseman's gloves.

A RawlingsGear.com customer from Tatum, Texas, recently left an online review to express his excitement about his new Heart of the Hide glove: “This glove is everything I thought it would be. Excellent quality and a perfect fit. I plan to use it a long time.”
