Get a Grip With Rawlings' Bat Accessories

Get the edge at the plate with Rawlings' batting accessories.

The rugged and simple Rawlings Grip Stick (model number STIK) is the new, non-messy alternative to pine tar, rosin bags and other grip enhancers.

This specially formulated waxy solid is becoming essential equipment for every on-deck circle.

Both professional and amateur baseball players use Pine Tar as a grip enhancer for their bats.

Applying pine tar to a bat improves the batter's overall grip and prevents the bat from slipping while the player is at the plate. Batters also don't have to grip the bat as hard, resulting in more "pop."

Rawlings' pine tar is available in a 4-ounce spray (model number SPTR) or on a cloth rag (model number PTR1). RawlingsGear.com also carries a pine tar kit for the entire team under model number PTEAM.

Another way players get a better grip is by using rosin.

Rawlings' Rock Rosin Bag (model number ROSPRO) imparts a tacky grip for enhanced gripping power. For a drier grip, try Rawlings’ Rosin Bag (model number ROS1), which contains a powdered rosin mixture.

A staple in the on-deck circle is the bat weight, used to enhance bat speed during warm-up. The 16-ounce classic Doughnut Style Bat Weight (model number BW16) is made of iron with a durable black vinyl coating.

And don't forget Rawlings' All-Purpose Sports Tape, which is great for bat handles and more. This tape is ¾” wide and 30’ long and comes in white, black, royal and red.
