Rawlings' New Tape Balls Focus on Improving Contact

Rawlings has added a new training ball to its 5-Tool Program.

Rawlings 5” Tape Balls (model number TAPEBALL12IN) were developed to match the weight and feel of rolled up athletic tape. Tape Balls are ideal for improving contact as you work on your hitting skills, and their extra weight gives you better swing feedback and trajectory.

They are made for use with Rawlings' 5-Tool Hand-Eye Bat or Lite Stick, both of which are available in adult and youth versions.

At the size of a golf ball, they can't be used in pitching machines.

Tape Balls feature a rubber core and a Polyurethane cover. They weigh 26 grams.

Get them at RawlingsGear.com in a 12-pack.

The 5-Tool Training Program is Rawlings' partnership with Ripken Baseball to take players of all ages to the next level. The program focuses on the fundamental skills of the game—fielding, throwing, hitting for average, hitting for power and running speed.

Every 5-Tool Training product includes drills and instructions to help you improve your baseball performance.
